SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Next week, the Minnehaha County Commission will vote to approve another contract with the Department of Corrections to better cover the costs of housing parole violators who have not committed a new crime.
South Dakota’s two biggest cities have been pleading for help when it comes to handling parolees. This new extension between the Department of Corrections and Minnehaha County will buy more time until a more permanent solution works itself out.
