LARCHWOOD—A 79-year-old Sherman, SD, woman was arrested Thursday, July 23, on a Lyon County warrant for first-degree theft against older individual and first-offense financial exploitation of older individual.
The arrest of Judy Kay Ellis stemmed from her activities as a caregiver in the home of a 76-year-old Valley Springs, SD, woman while previously being employed by a home-care company in South Dakota, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
