SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Arrest warrants have been issued for two people following an animal welfare investigation that began on July 22 at a home in Renner.
According to a news release from the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Sherry Lynn Napier and 38-year-old Faith Lily Smith have been charged with:
- 4 counts of felony cruelty to animals
- 97 counts of animal neglect
During the initial welfare check, the MCSO and Sioux Falls Area Humane Society evaluated the conditions of animals on the property, determining the environment was not safe or healthy for the animals present.
