SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The National Weather Service announced that the storm that hit Oglala Lakota County on Aug. 11 produced four-inch hail and 111 mph winds.
The storm caused damage to homes, vehicles and gardens. Numerous home and vehicle windows were smashed and roofs were damaged. The school district in Oglala was forced to delay the start of its school year because of damage.
