Sioux Falls road construction projects to affect traffic within the city (August 24-25)

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The City of Sioux Falls has announced road construction projects that will impact parts of the city beginning on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Overlay Project 26th Street and Marion Road Lane Closure

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2026, northbound traffic on South Marion Road will be reduced to one lane between Berkshire Boulevard and Silver Valley Drive. The lane reduction will allow the City’s contractor to complete ADA Ramp repairs and Full Depth Concrete Repairs in advance of the mill and overlay work scheduled for middle of September.

This project will require multiple traffic changes and lane closures throughout construction. News releases will be issued prior to each major phase of work. The project is anticipated to be completed in late October 2026…
