Sioux Falls ranks among the top 25 markets overall on the newly released Indeed’s Best Cities for Work list.
The popular job listing platform analyzed more than 200 metro areas with more than 200,000 people and ranked the top 25 metro areas based on six key pillars made up of 40 individual metrics:
- Job opportunity: Can workers actually find a job?
- Compensation: Do workers earn enough to build a good life?
- Job quality and security: Are jobs stable, and do they come with meaningful benefits?
- Career mobility and dynamism: Are there opportunities to upskill and move up in their careers?
- Work-life balance and flexibility: Do workers have time and space outside of work?
- Economic opportunity: Does the city work well for all types of workers, not just the average one?
In addition to making the overall list at No. 25, Sioux Falls ranked among the nation’s top five best metros for job opportunity, and work-life balance and flexibility.
