Jacky’s Burrito Express has reopened its north Sioux Falls location and is featuring a lunch buffet.
To start, hours for the restaurant at 3808 N. Cliff Ave. are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with the buffet available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays.
After a location on 41st Street didn’t work out, owner Jacky Vanloh decided to reopen the north-side restaurant, which had been closed since 2020, said her daughter Evelyn Haro.
“There’s a lot of offices out here, and I feel like there’s not very much out here,” she said of places to eat.
The menu includes tacos, burritos, birria dishes, quesadillas and more. Breakfast items like omelets and burritos with eggs and sausage also are available, and customers can order anything they want all day. Customers order at the counter, and the food is brought to their table.
The restaurant seats about 100 diners.
The buffet will make it easy for people on their lunch breaks, Haro said. Diners will find ingredients like shredded chicken, ground beef, rice and beans and all the toppings to make salads and tacos.
Each day will feature a special dish like beef stew, chicken curry or Cajun shrimp with mac-and-cheese, Haro said.
