SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls is asking for community aid after two water heaters at its men’s center failed, leaving the facility in urgent need of replacement equipment, according to a news release from the nonprofit organization.
Replacing the two water heaters will cost about $28,000, the news release said. UGM is asking individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations to help raise the money.
“They [UGM men] deserve a safe place to sleep, a hot shower, and the basic necessities we often take for granted,” Eric Weber, CEO of Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls, said. “Right now, we need our community to come alongside us so we can get these water heaters replaced.”…
