SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Thousands of hikers gathered on Sunday for the bi-annual Crazy Horse Volksmarch, coined the “most popular organized hike in the United States”.
The hike is a 5K or 10K trek through dirt trails and gravel roads up to the Crazy Horse Mountain Carving in the Black Hills.
The turn around point is on the Arm of Crazy Horse directly in front of the nine-story-high face, which was completed in 1998. Work continues on the rest of what will be the “largest sculpture in the world”…
