SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — People in Sioux Falls will have their first chance later this week to share ideas about the future of the historic rock quarry east of Falls Park.
The city will host a free kickoff event at the site on Thursday so people can learn more about the city’s plans to turn the quarry into a year-round recreational space.
This fenced-in area near Falls Park, which serves as a holding pond for runoff from the nearby Whittier neighborhood, has been a hidden gem in the heart of the city for decades.
