SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– A man in connection with an officer-involved shooting was found guilty of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Samir Albaidhani was convicted in court Thursday of:
- One count of attempted 1st degree murder with the jury also acquitting one count of attempted first degree murder
- Three counts of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer
- One count of committing a felony while carrying a firearm
- One count of grand theft
- One count of possession of a stolen vehicle
- One count of possession of a firearm after a violent crime conviction
As of this story’s publishing, there has been no sentencing date set for Albaidhani.
Albaidhani was previously convicted on March 18 in Union County to three counts of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, three counts of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer and one count of aggravated eluding law enforcement.
