Three community learning centers will hold free community health and wellness fairs for the first time this winter.
Each fair will explore health and wellness for the whole family, including vendor booths, kids’ activities, health screenings, learning sessions, adult vaccinations, door prizes, a kid’s bike raffle, activity registrations and more.
Adult vaccinations will be onsite through a partnership with Sanford Health and USAging. Adults must bring their insurance cards. Sanford CHILD and Sanford FIT will also be there along with other vendors throughout the community.
“The community learning centers are excited about this opportunity to partner with so many community organizations,” Rebecca Wimmer, coordinator of community partnerships and after school programs for the Sioux Falls School District, said in a press release. “Health and wellness is of vital importance not just to our students, but for entire families.”
Wimmer said she encourages everyone to come out, engage with vendors, learn something new, enjoy activities together and make health and wellness a priority in their family.
