60 acres, $200 million dedicated to new Good Samaritan Society campus

Sanford Health broke ground for a new “first-of-its-kind” senior community this week called Good Samaritan Society – Founder’s Crossing, in east Sioux Falls at Veterans Parkway and 57th Street, according to a Monday press release from Sanford Health .

With the rapidly growing Sioux Falls population, Good Samaritan Society President and CEO Nathan Schema said the need to expand senior housing and services in the city is essential.

“Over the next five years, the population of adults over 65 will grow by nearly 20% in the Sioux Falls area,” Schema said. “More senior housing units are needed to keep up with the growth and ensure seniors have access to care and a community designed specifically for them. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this level of service to Sioux Falls and support the needs of the community.”
