Sioux Falls man sentenced for distributing pounds of meth

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– A Sioux Falls man was sentenced on Monday to more than 11 years for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office press release on Tuesday.

40-year-old Travis Jones obtained multiple pounds of methamphetamine from a co-conspirator and distributed it to others over many months until January 9, 2024. Jones unknowingly sold an ounce of meth to a confidential informant on two separate occasions.

Jones was indicted in May and plead guilty in July.
