Swamp Daddy’s to host fundraiser for addiction recovery efforts

Owners of downtown Creole restaurant Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen will host a fundraiser this week for Face It TOGETHER, an area nonprofit supporting addiction recovery.

Del’Inkka and Julian Beaudion organized Face It in the Fire, a charity event on Thursday that will feature an ingredient-specific cook-off among 11 area chefs at the Washington Pavilion. Two chefs will participate in a live final battle onstage, and guests will be able to vote for a winner at the end of the night.

During the competition, guests can mingle among appetizers, desserts and mocktails from area restaurants while also learning more about Face It TOGETHER, a team of coaches who support individuals impacted by alcohol or other drug addictions, mostly at no cost to them, in a safe environment.
