SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — We were able to break into some extra sunshine today in portions of KELOLAND. While it was very nice to see, it did little to nothing to help the temperature today.
Snow has also been on the way out, so we’ll quiet down after portions of central and western KELOLAND saw several inches of snow.
Another cold night is on the way across the region, with lows near and below zero once again. Though the wind won’t be as big of a concern as it has been, it won’t take much of a breeze to put the wind chill in the double digits below zero at times. Please plan accordingly as you prepare for work and school.
In fact, we’ll remain cold through at least Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. By the second half of the week, however, we do get some relief from the cold.
A modest warm-up will carry us into the end of the upcoming work and school week. Temperatures get back to and even above average for this time of year for the first time in several days…with 30s on the way by the weekend.
