South Dakota Precipitation Alert: Light Snow and Rain Set to Impact Areas North of I-90

Sioux Falls, SD – Precipitation will begin moving into South Dakota late tonight, with rain impacting most areas from Nebraska and central South Dakota. However, light snow could also affect areas north of Interstate 90 early Friday morning and again later Friday evening. According to the National Weather Service, the rain is expected to exit northeast across Minnesota Friday night.

Some areas west of the James River may receive up to half an inch of precipitation, with most of the state seeing between a tenth and a quarter inch. Despite the wet weather, following the rain, mostly sunny conditions are forecasted, bringing seasonal highs in the 40s and 50s by the weekend…
