Lines painted in downtown Sioux Falls ahead of new parking ordinance

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Crews were busy in downtown Sioux Falls on Sunday night as they prepared a stretch of Phillips Avenue for a new parking ordinance.

Crews were painting lines on the road, showing the limit of how far out into the avenue that vehicles can park.

The ordinance states that a minimum of 10 feet of clearance is required between the back of vehicles and the center yellow line, meaning longer vehicles, like trucks and vans, will need to park elsewhere…
