American Legion Post 15 hosts Post Everlasting ceremony

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – In a solemn ceremony Sunday, American Legion Post 15 recognized veteran members who have passed away.

The Post Everlasting ceremony remembers veterans who have passed away during the last year. It’s a way for the organization to express its respect for the contributions of the veterans, and provide closure for their families and fellow Legionnaires.

“Post Everlasting, the meaning of it is that they have now gone to heaven. They’ll be forever members of the Post, and it’s just a special time. So the lights will be out, it’ll be dark, it’ll be solemn. Each of the family members here will receive a rose in remembrance of their loved one,” American Legion Post 15 Commander Patrick Branco said…
