Upper Midwest Wildfire Threat: Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota Face Red Flag Warnings Sunday

Minneapolis, MN – Dangerous wildfire conditions are set to grip the Upper Midwest on Sunday as intense heat, bone-dry air, and powerful winds converge across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Red Flag Warnings are now in effect from late morning through evening, signaling a high risk for fast-moving wildfires and urging residents to avoid any outdoor burning.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will surge into the upper 80s and low 90s, with relative humidity dropping to as low as 12 to 15 percent.
