The SculptureWalk in Sioux Falls is a cherished treasure in the downtown area, and unfortunately, there is always a heartless criminal who tries to ruin traditions.
Sadly, officials with the SculptureWalk confirmed that one of the sculptures in this year’s show has been vandalized in a heartbreaking Facebook post.
The sculpture called “Tornado” by Ohio artist Gedion Nyanhongo is broken. This artwork was located near the Blarney Stone Pub in Downtown Sioux Falls.
I know we can’t control what people do, but destroying someone’s hard work is cruel and disappointing. This terrible crime is one reason why protecting public art throughout the Sioux Falls area is so important…
