Once the rain slowed down, much of our time has been spent putting up hay, stacking bales and working cattle.
We were able to get our first cutting of alfalfa done in a couple of fields. I am in charge of making sure that all bales get stacked to allow for the second cutting to start growing and to be able to get off to a good start.
So far this haying season hasn’t been as good as others. We’re getting fewer bales than we have in the past. We are hoping for improvement for the next couple cuttings coming ahead…
