Hot Shots reach Ringneck championship, fall short

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Hot Shots from Hartford was the only South Dakota team to make it out of the first round of the 48th Annual Ringneck Tournament. The team advanced all the way to the championship game, where it fell to OK Pryme from Oklahoma.

The Hot Shots knocked off Sioux Falls Eclipse 6-1 in the opening round of bracket play Sunday morning. They then defeated Columbus Havoc (NE) 5-1 in the quarterfinals.

The squad from Hartford took on Fury Gold Kratina of Omaha in the semifinals and prevailed 4-2 to move onto the title game. The Hot Shots lost 11-3 to OK Pryme in the championship…
