SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Drivers in Minnehaha County looking to renew their licenses will soon no longer be able to just walk into the Sioux Falls Driver’s License Express Station.
The express driver’s license station is closed on Monday but when it reopens on Wednesday, it will be switching to appointment-only services.
A break-down of prison plans
“We’re finding that, you know, we’re having some longer wait times than normal, so with that, you know, it doesn’t allow us to control the flow of traffic as well,” Brian Voges, Assistant Director of Field Operations with South Dakota Drivers Licensing, said. “So, by going to appointments, we’re going to be able to control that flow a little bit better and also, you know, enhance their experience there, lower wait times, in that part.”
The location is open Wednesday through Friday each week with the earliest appointment available at 7:30 and the latest at 4:30. The Department of Public Safety says the express station will be able to accommodate up to 100 appointments each day…
