SFPD investigates murder, deadly assault cases

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Police Department is sharing new details about a murder case and a deadly assault incident.

On Monday, June 30th, 39-year-old Doris High Elk was pushed off a retaining wall near the 8th Street bridge.

Becoming PD: ‘I wanted to give back in that same way’

Yesterday, High Elk died of her injuries in the hospital. 45-year-old Jubal Rattler was initially charged with aggravated assault.

“There is a potential for, since he is in jail on aggravated assault charges, that those could change or enhanced charges could come pending the results of that autopsy,” Sioux Falls Police Department spokesperson Aaron Benson said…
