Sanford Imagenetics reaches test milestone

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Sanford Imagenetics and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs have reached a major milestone in their partnership, completing 100,000 pharmacogenomic (PGx) tests for veterans through the PHASER program.

The testing, conducted at Sanford Medical Genetics Laboratory in Sioux Falls, helps clinicians understand how a patient’s genetic makeup may affect their response to common medications.

About 90% of people have at least one gene variation that could impact how they process certain drugs.
