SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society is temporarily suspending its after-hours night receiving service starting on August 1.
The decision follows the misuse of night receiving as a loophole for unscheduled surrenders, leaving many animals without background information, often by those unwilling to wait for scheduled appointments or surrendering pets for others.
