Sioux Falls man sentenced for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – U.S. Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced on Wednesday that a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, man has been convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

Quincy Lamar Johnson, 35, was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in federal prison, 3 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Johnson was indicted for Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person by a federal grand jury in February 2025 and pleaded guilty on May 5, 2025…
