SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Over the past few years, the city of Sioux Falls has received thousands of complaints about its sidewalks, which are uneven or have too big of gaps that limit the ability for someone in a wheelchair to enjoy the same goods and services as others.
And because they didn’t meet ADA standards, a Sioux Falls man sued the city and now the city is ramping up its efforts to get them replaced one sidewalk at a time.
It’s a sign of the times.
