SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — While today has not been as cool as Monday or even Sunday, it has still been a rather pleasant day to be outside for much of the region.
We’ll stay mainly quiet with varying levels of cloud cover going into the night. A few isolated showers are possible overnight to the southeast, but that’s the exception to the overall mainly dry rule.
Wednesday features a chance for some isolated to scattered showers and even a rumble of thunder or two in southeastern KELOLAND. Areas to the southwest may even see a little bit of rain later in the evening. Temperatures do take another step forward, with 80s returning East River.
With that said, though, it’s not going to get much warmer than this as we head into the start of September. Before we get there, though, we do need to navigate the end of the week and Labor Day weekend as well. The extended holiday weekend may feature rain out west on Friday, with better chance for rain on the way for the weekend proper. Labor Day may also have lingering showers to the east, so keep this in mind if you have outdoor plans.
While temperatures take a small step back through the weekend, we warm up again by the start of September on Monday. 80s return and try to stick around going into the midweek outlook.
