Local sleep institute to launch training program

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A new program in Sioux Falls is hoping to get more people into a field that’s all about getting a good night’s rest.

Sleeping is something we all have to do, but sometimes people struggle to get a good night’s rest.

“I think the statistics were about 30 million people are diagnosed with sleep apnea every year. And like 20% to 30% of that is not undiagnosed. So, I mean, it’s a huge issue,” Nathan Coombs, program director at Solstice Sleep Institute, said.

And Coombs says there’s a bit of a shortage of people able to help with those issues…
