HARTFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Siouxland Heritage Museums will be leading a walking tour at the Hartford Cemetery on Thursday evening at 6:00, highlighting the grave sites of 28 Civil War veterans.
“These are the guys who didn’t die in the Civil War, they survived, they came west, they took advantage of the Homestead Act largely, and they really helped found Minnehaha County and the town of Hartford,” said Bill Hoskins, Director of Siouxland Heritage Museums.
