(Sioux Falls, SD) — A big law enforcement push in Sioux Falls leads to dozens of felony drug arrests as part of “Operation Prairie Thunder.” Over just three days, officers made 174 drug arrests — 44 of them felonies — and even brought in a helicopter to help avoid dangerous high-speed chases. Governor Larry Rhoden says the operation is a major success, taking gang members and suspects with cartel ties off the streets. Officers also referred 14 cases to ICE, made eight immigration-related arrests, and handed out over 330 traffic tickets.
