Mobile market finds new home in tribal communities

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A nonprofit organization working to fight food insecurity has purchased the Eat Well Mobile Market to bring fresh produce and food to tribal communities.

Team Buche Cares bought the mobile food market, originally owned and managed by Sioux Falls Thrive, and plans to take it to the nine tribal reservations in South Dakota.

“There are areas within the state where people just don’t have access to food, they don’t have the transportation for food, and they definitely don’t have the means for food,” founder and president RF Buche told KELOLAND News. “This mobile food pantry is going to be a way for them to get it.”…
