SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – US Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced on Tuesday that a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, man has been convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Illegal Receipt of a Firearm by a Person Under Indictment.
Boru Guye Wako, Jr., 39, was sentenced to 7 years in federal prison, 3 years of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Wako was indicted for Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Illegal Receipt of a Firearm by a Person Under Indictment by a federal grand jury in November 2023 and was found guilty in July 2025…
