SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An appeal to keep Christ the King school open was heard by Bishop Donald DeGrood and the Sioux Falls Catholic Diocese Thursday night.

According to school supporter Matthew Abrahamson, who was at the meeting, the bishop granted an extension for public comment at the appeals hearing to October 2. The final decision will be made on October 10.
The meeting comes after the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools announced it would close Christ the King at the end of the school year.
