Kansas woman sentenced for selling meth, fentanyl in SD

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Kansas woman has been sentenced for distributing meth and fentanyl in South Dakota.

In a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Amanda Acosta, 43, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday. She pleaded guilty on July 17.

Acosta was involved with a California-based drug trafficking organization operating out of Sioux Falls in July 2024. She would buy large quantities of meth and fentanyl to distribute to others in Sioux Falls and around the state.

Acosta would also allow the organization to mail fentanyl directly to her residence. She was arrested in September 2024…
