ROCK RAPIDS—One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle collision about 2:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, about three miles east of Rock Rapids.
Sixty-four-year-old Steven Peter Cuperus of George was driving east on Highway 9 when his 2015 Ram pickup was struck by a southbound 2016 Peterbilt 579 semi driven by 28-year-old Matthew Wieber of Benson, MN, at the intersection with Indian Avenue, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
