Pride steadfast during 2025’s Hispanic Heritage Month

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — For Jose Moncada, Hilda Pérez, Stephanie Vasquez and Debra Natareno of Sioux Falls, there’s pride in identity. Honduran, Guatemalan, Mexican and American heritage were all represented at the table when they gathered Wednesday at a park in the heart of the city.

“Although I was born here, I was raised in Guatemalan/Honduran culture, and I’d like to say I’m really proud of it,” Moncada said. “I love my culture.”

Will farmers get a trade aid package like 2018, 2019?

“Everybody can learn about us, and we’re learning about another peoples coming from different countries, so I’m very proud to be here,” Pérez said.

“I am very proud to be Hispanic and celebrate my culture, traditions and values,” Vasquez said…
