Storm Center PM Update: Warm Sunday; Several Rain Chances

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Scattered showers have been pushing through KELOLAND over the course of the day, with temperatures varying depending on whether you got in on bonus sunshine or not.

These showers will continue to develop and push through the region as we head into the night, with additional rain chances East River as we head into the day on Sunday. A few rumbles of thunder are possible overnight as well, so don’t be surprised if you hear that. Periods of rain will stick around later on Sunday as a cold front pushes through the region and usher in some cooler air for the start of the week.

We’ll get a small break on Monday before chances of rain return for the midweek outlook. While every day is not a wash-out with rain all day, each day from Tuesday through Thursday will feature some chances for rain. We’ll also gradually warm up as we head into the Thursday outlook.

Drier conditions return by Friday into Saturday, with high pressure attempting to return. We’ll also watch as cooler temperatures push back into the region following the departure of Thursday’s system.
