Hawarden man suffers serious leg injury from grain trailer accident
A Hawarden man was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital after suffering a serious leg injury from a grain trailer yesterday morning.
The incident occured at Premium Feed and Grain in Brunsville. 21-year-old Dylan Ver Hoeven of Hawarden was working next to the trailer, which was attached to a Freightliner semi-truck driven by 26-year-old Dillan Baartman of Le Mars. As the trailer was pulling away from the mill, a piece of Ver Hoeven’s clothes got caught in the trailer, and he was dragged several feet.
