Emily’s Hope receives $50,000 grant

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls-based organization, Emily’s Hope, is the recipient of the Dorothy Day Davenport Grant, worth $50,000.

Emily’s Hope said they will use these funds to provide curriculum materials, teacher training, and classroom resources to classrooms and provide education about substance abuse without financial barriers.

“The support of the Mary Chilton DAR Foundation allows us to give Sioux Falls’ students access to prevention education that can change—and even save—lives,” said Angela Kennecke, CEO and founder of Emily’s Hope. “This is an investment in the future of our children and our community.”…
