SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – What used to be an open field at Prairie Meadows Park outside Journey Elementary School is now becoming a field of dreams; a place built for the community, by the community, and in memory of a little boy who loved the game.
The new baseball field is being dedicated to Dane McCoy, a young boy who tragically passed in February 2022 from a snowmobiling accident. He is remembered for his joy, kindness, and love for sports, including baseball.
