Oct. 30-Nov. 2, those in need can ask for the ‘Community Special’ at area Taco John’s

Sioux Falls area Taco John’s locations are stepping up to help those who may be struggling due to a lack of pay or potential Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit cuts, the Argus Leader confirmed with several area Sioux Falls area Taco John’s employees.

A Facebook post from the Milbank, S.D. Taco John’s location announced on Oct. 29 that it will offer a free “Community Special” meal to anyone in need. The meal includes a bean or beef burrito and an order of Potato Olés, available at Sioux Falls–area locations from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

“Much like all of you, we have seen some unusual times right now. With SNAP benefits being cut and people not being paid to work, we have a lot of people that could use some help. So, we’re going to do what we can,” the post read.

Meals must be requested in person in the main lobby by asking for the “Community Special,” and the offer is limited to one per person…
