Gellerman, a recent graduate of the University of South Dakota (USD) Beacom School of Business, has started a full-time career in marketing. During her time at USD, she participated in activities such as studying abroad, business consulting projects, student government, and Greek life. These experiences helped her build confidence and learn to manage multiple tasks, skills she considers important for her career.
One key experience for Gellerman was the Coyote Business Consulting (CBC) program. This program gave her the chance to use classroom knowledge in real business situations. For her final CBC project, she worked with fellow student Collin Schaar to develop a plan for the Coyote Brotherhood, a group of USD football alumni. Through this project, she practiced marketing, communication, and presentation skills.
Gellerman also took part in USD’s Alumni Mentoring Program. She was matched with Eric Siversten, a 1998 USD graduate and CEO of Epicosity, a marketing agency in Sioux Falls. Siversten offered her industry insights and career advice. She also had the chance to observe teams at Epicosity, which helped her learn more about the marketing field…
