State prison offender on escape status

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – State prison offender Latoya Shangreaux has been placed on escape status.

According to the South Dakota Department of Corrections, Shangreaux didn’t return to the Pierre Minimum Center overnight from her work release job site.

Shangreaux is described as a 37-year-old Native American woman with brown hair, brown eyes, and neck tattoos.

She’s serving sentences for possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear from Minnehaha County…
