On November 4, 2025, at about 5:06 a.m., Sioux Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 3500 block of South Larch Avenue for a weapons violation. Officers arrived at the scene and found two adult females who had been shot with a firearm.

The Sioux Falls Police announced a new fraud campaign to help make the public aware of fraud involving cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin. Sgt. Jake Harris with the Sioux Falls Police Property Crimes Fraud Division spoke about the police department collaborating with local businesses that have crypto ATMs to post signs regarding the rise of cryptocurrency scams.
