Cleaning & testing follow distemper case at Humane Society

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society is asking for your help in covering the cost of expensive testing after one of their dogs died from canine distemper last weekend.

The shelter has stopped taking-in, and adopting-out, dogs until those tests confirm that all of the animals have a clean bill of health.

All of the dog kennels at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society are getting a thorough, deep cleaning following a confirmed case of canine distemper.
