Motorcycle crash near Watertown leaves 24-year-old dead

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Harrisburg man is dead following a motorcycle crash that occurred Thursday night.

According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the crash happened two miles south of Watertown, just before 10 p.m.

The 24-year-old driver was heading north on 29th Street, and as he approached the intersection of Meadow Lake Road, he lost control and got separated from his motorcycle.

He was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital with life-threatening injuries before later being transported to a Sioux Falls hospital, where he died from injuries sustained from the crash. He was not wearing a helmet…
