SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Feeding South Dakota is preparing for its annual Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway on Saturday, Nov 22, offering families a full holiday meal through a drive-thru distribution at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds and Knife River.
The event begins at 8 a.m., and families will line up at the fairgrounds before being guided across the street to the Knife River building, where the distribution takes place indoors.
“And then right at 8 am, we’ll get started and folks will be guided across the street to Knife River, where the distribution actually takes place inside, which is a really wonderful partnership that we have with Knife River so that it makes it a little bit warmer on a cold morning,” said Megan Kjose, Feeding South Dakota’s chief development officer. “Once they get into Knife River, they’ll pop their trunks and our volunteers will get everything loaded so they can get on their way.”…
